Introduction

The state of Pakistan has had a long and arduous developmental trajectory since independence in 1947. Informed observers argue that the society appears to be stuck in a time loop that is resistant to change required to prosper. The aim of this annual conference is to bring together leading local and international scholars, thinkers, influencers, and pundits to tackle this argument from a broad social, economic, and political perspective. It is being organized by the College of Economics and Social Development (CESD) which is a well-established school at IoBM. The CESD invites research papers, surveys, case studies, academic articles and other forms of research output on themes that include, but not limited to the following:

We invite researchers, scholars, policymakers, practitioners and interested individuals to contribute to the conference by submitting abstracts aligned with the above mentioned sub-themes. This conference will provide a platform for interdisciplinary discussions, networking opportunities and the exchange of knowledge that will shape the future socio-economic landscape of Pakistan.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are requested to submit their abstracts (150-300 words) by January 30, 2024, to info-aicss@iobm.edu.pk Full papers will be due by February 10, 2024.
